Today I’ll be reviewing another item from AG’s ‘school sale’.
Maryellen’s Living Room Set retails for $58. <—that’s the ‘normal’ price 🙂
(Come back Thursday for a Review/Photoshoot of more Maryellen items!)
The table feels pretty sturdy although it is all plastic. Sadness. 😦
Once you remove the little plastic tab from the lamp…
It turns on with the push of a button! (Batteries are included already inside the lamp.) 🙂
The lampshade is a completely unbendable plastic. But I do like it and it feels sturdy. Although maybe I’ll separate it from the table and somehow incorporate it into Emily’s bedroom. (Whenever I unpack it. 😦 )
I’m not a fan of red/yellow together. Too McDonald’s-y for my taste. 😉
The newspaper is very nicely sized to an AG doll, with accurate thinness. Probably not practical for a young child, but for a collector/blogger/photographer like me…just right. Sorry the picture is so blurry! I’m not great at one-handed camera pics. 😉
Ugh, more blurriness.
The set also comes with this also historically accurate and correctly sized TV guide. This is a bit more durable and I could see a careful little girl playing with this. Or spending a ton of time reading the tiny print. That would be me as an 8-year-old!
Also included–this (plastic) poodle dog with poor eyesight. Yes, historically accurate, but since this table is going into Stuart’s room for now, I promised him I’d make it disappear. 🙂
The entire set. This does seem a bit overpriced to me, since it’s all plastic and paper, so I’m happy I was able to purchase it on sale.
Overall, high priced, but flexible enough to be a nice addition to many scenes.
This sloth is just adorable. Look at that goofy, slightly brainless smile! 😉
If you don’t own him, go get him right now! He’s on sale at AG for $8. (Sorry…not very adept at staying on topic, am I?) 🙂
Do you own Maryellen’s Living Room Set? What about Mr. Sloth? (I really should give him a name.)
